Dries is from Belgium. He studied cloud engineering and worked a 9-to-5 as an IT guy. The salary was good, but he never felt fulfilled. He couldn’t choose his own holidays, and he was working hard to make someone else rich.
So he saved up and moved to Thailand. On Koh Samui he worked in real estate and made drone videos on the side. Decent money, but it still wasn’t his own thing.
Then he met our team in person at the Business Belts Muay Thai camp on the island. Dries is skeptical about anything online, but seeing members with real results in front of him changed his mind. He joined the program with zero e-commerce experience.
He went live in March with a store in Sweden and made around $25.000 profit in his first four months. When sales dropped, he almost quit. Together with his coaches he switched to a new market instead. In September, his seventh month, he did close to $250.000 in revenue and around $60.000 profit.
In October he lost his ad account and had to rebuild from scratch (welcome to entrepreneurship). He opened a third store and kept going. Today he runs his business from Koh Samui with a team of 7 people.
That’s the part he’s most proud of: building something that also takes care of others.
