Giovanni moved from a small village in Italy to Rotterdam when he was 20. One-way ticket, no real plan. He worked in kitchens for years and later became a personal trainer. Good, honest work, but he didn’t want to depend on one boss, one job or one location for the rest of his life.
So he and his business partner (also called Giovanni) tried e-commerce on their own. They watched YouTube videos, studied competitors and built their first store from scratch. Four months and around €7.000 later, they had made 18 sales.
Then they joined Business Belts. One week into the 1-on-1 coaching, they had matched those same 18 sales. In their first three months with us they made around €14.000 profit, while Giovanni was still working full-time in the kitchen and opening his laptop at night.
Then their ad account got banned (welcome to entrepreneurship). They took everything they had learned and built a new store in a new market. That store did over €160.000 in revenue and €30.000+ profit in just a few months.
But the part Giovanni likes the most has nothing to do with money. This summer he flew home to Italy for the first time in 10 years and spent six weeks with his family. The business kept running the whole time.
